I knew Marcos for years as our pest control man, and he was cheerful, warm, easygoing and absolutely one of the nicest people I knew. I only learned of his death because we suddenly had a new serviceman, and it was a gut punch to hear what happened. This is a sickening tragedy that needs resolution; punishing the teen isn't enough- the teen needs to perform community service, and speak to young drivers about what he did. Best to the families, and know that they touched many lives, and will be remembered. Glasses raised.

I have been a resident of this area for 55 years, (all my life) ,and i have never seen our city be in such a crisis. It had only been within the past 10 years that we have started to see a decline, and i strongly believe it is the cause of over development. For every house or apartment building that is constructed it sucks more and more water from our supply that cannot be replenished fast enough. We have to do something about it before we go totally dry. Stop worrying about bringing in more tax dollars a fix what we have first.

Water shortage is obviously a huge problem. However, in addition, I'm troubled the lack of green space. In off Clifton, where a developer was approved for three houses but u guess when no one was paying attention, he got the plans altered and has now snuck five houses in the space. It's so crowded! What once was a lovely wooded area is now clear cut and full of trendy farmhouse style homes. It's awful!

These medians are doing nothing to address the growth in this area. If we have to deal with construction, do something productive like add a third lane. The medians are adding additional travel times, safety concerns with u-turns into heavy oncoming traffic, left turn lanes that are too short and spill into the middle lane thus impeding traffic going straight, no room for emergency vehicles to pass, reduced complexity to visit businesses that will eventually have to close due to slowdown in business, construction that has made the lanes so narrow you often can’t even go past someone…the list goes on and on. When these were added on 1960, they created so many issues. They’re creating issues on 105. Why are we exacerbating the problem onto an already congested roadway with more traffic than it can handle and exponential growth that is not slowing even though we have no infrastructure to support it? This is a waste of our tax dollars and needs to stop. It’s clear the community is not interested in this negative change and all of the impacts we will have to deal with on a daily basis.

I've lived in the Stuart neighborhood since 2012, and the traffic on West Main makes it extremely dangerous to cross the street in my own neighborhood. There is no safe place to cross - significantly reducing the connectivity between Stuart and adjacent neighborhoods (downtown, college campuses, etc). Someday I'd like to be able to walk my dogs safely!

I have seen cars pass into on coming traffic further up west main when they feel traffic isn’t moving fast enough. If we replicate this design closer to the college this will make it dangerous for students to cross. Cars coming down to the hill at high speeds currently make crossing difficult, we need a design that allows to easy and safe crossing for foot traffic. You cannot reduce foot traffic near a college, the only solution is safe crossings.
