The MU physics program was crucial to my growth as a person and as a professional. I hope that this program can continue to live.

Even if enrollment may be low, it is not fair to discontinue a program that statistically, majors do incredible when they go on to become physics teachers themselves. The impact these "small numbers" has is shown in how many more learn from those handful of students, and the quality MU physics majors go on to implement in their own careers.

However, there is an obvious need for the understanding of physics if we are going to understand the world around us. I'm not a physicist, but I know we need them.
