As someone who is lactose-free and gluten-free, has several other food sensitivities, (almond and soy), I was extremely disappointed to hear Starbucks is no longer carying lactose-free milk. Your Oat milk is not certified gluten-free, making it unsafe. Of all the alternative dairy options, getting rid of the lactose-free milk makes the LEAST amount of sense. All of the non-dairy options drastically changes the taste of drinks. For me, and countless others, due to allergies or sensitivities coconut milk is the only other "option" we can safely consume – who the heck wants to drink a Chai latte with coconut milk?! It's not uncommon to have multiple food sensitivities and this decision is alienating a very large portion of your customer base. I'd rather see a dairy-free alternative that I can't consume removed from the menu. My family and I won't be back so long as LF milk isn't on the menu.
As a person with Celiac Disease and nut-allergies, lactose-free milk is the only safe option for me at Starbucks. Oat milk is great, but not all brands are gluten-free. If LF milk isn't going to be offered, then commit to only serving certified-GF oat milk.
As someone who’s lactose intolerant and doesn’t like the taste of milk alternatives, it’s extremely disappointing Starbucks removed lactose free milk! I would go there for coffee because they were the only chain that carried it. Not going to Starbucks anymore now that they don’t have it.
They get rid of lactose-free milk to simplify their menu and yet keep four types of non-dairy options. I can’t drink those options due to digestive issues, but either way, I still would rather drink my latte with (lactose-free) milk and not nut & soy water.
I have a lactose allergy, a nut allergy, a soy allergy, a coconut allergy and many other allergies. I’ve been dealing with this my whole life. Starbucks has been the only place that I’ve gone to get my Frappuccino because they have lactose free milk. I will never be able to drink a Frappuccino or a coffee again because I am being discriminated against and cannot order anything that is safe for me to drink. This is such a blow to the heart. I’m so upset that Starbucks does not care about their customers with allergies.
