Victories in Solar

The largest solar array in the North East in tiny, quaint East Windsor has already destroyed enough nature and beauty against the will of the tax payers who live here and reap zero benefits, as all the "energy" goes elsewhere, while the taxes were minimized. The First Selectman has plenty to share about these matters with Ned LaMont & outsourced companies, yet not a single answer when addressed at the board meeting where all board members failed to acknowledge the most important questions of the townspeople who pay them to ignore in silence after covertly dismissing the letter sent to each one of them! The variable humming of the intermittent solar installations (not farms, as they diminish the soil, opposed to grow in it), they're good for keeping you up all night, while the tiny town currently facilities 40% of the entire state budget for this toxic, non environmentally friendly mess that's ruined our peaceful countryside. We have had enough of what was never supposed to be, you should be ashamed of yourself for your covert, crooked & harmful negotiations @Jason mums the word Bowza!

Solar is fundamentally flawed in its current state. The process under which these solar arrays operate, would remove natural land, drive property value down, and maintain no end benefit for the townsfolk. I have grown up here. Driving down Main Street, out into the farm roads, where tobacco barns, cornfields, and rural farmhands existed, is one of our greatest bits of charm. The removal of these fields, and farmland, destroys a core piece of EW. Our trucks, our livestock, our quaint farm houses will all look out of place, silhouetted against the brutal metal sheen of a solar array. I firmly oppose the addition of more solar arrays in EW. Do not continue the erosion of one of our defining characteristics.

Enough is enough! I grew up in this town. This is no longer the quaint country side I have called home. Stop using our precious land!

I grew up in this town, it used to be a nice quiet small country place where I enjoyed seeing nature while walking my dogs & riding my horses in the fields & woods around my home where I would come across many different animals & birds. So much of the open land has been built up with houses & now solar which fences all the land off. I'm concerned with where wildlife is going to live if more trees are cut down & their home is taken from them. Solar belongs in cities or on buildings not on farmland or wildlife areas that are already minimalized in this small state. Please leave the small towns like ours alone & go elsewhere!

We need to protect our farmland for food, not endorse solar panels that are stealing our ability to grow food and care for our families. These panels are driving down our property values; we worked so hard to build and maintain a community of nature, land, and beauty.
