San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is trying to hurt solar customers, again. In the 11th hour, SDG&E is pulling a bait-and-switch on families, schools, churches and businesses who have responded to the policy signals sent by the state of California and invested in solar power, electric vehicles and energy storage. SDG&E wants to charge current solar customers twice as much for the same energy their neighbors use. 

For over the past decade, California has encouraged homeowners, schools, cities and small businesses to go solar through various programs, including the California Solar Initiative and the Self-Generation Incentive Program. Those who already made investments in these technologies will be adversely impacted by SDG&E, who has one of the highest electricity rates in the continental U.S. 

SDG&E came out with last-minute rates that go against policy signals from the state legislator and the California Public Utilities Commission. 

Please sign this petition to tell the California Public Utilities you won't stand for this. Don't let SDG&E set policy for the state of California for the benefit of their shareholders while hurting ratepayers. This sets a dangerous precedent for the other investor-owned utilities.
