I have lived in this village for 55 years and have seen the ups and downs of the shopping centre but the time has come for the landlords to spend some mo Su to restore it back to its former glory so my grandchildren who now also live on the village get to enjoy it too
Justine supported: Regenerate New Ash Green Shopping CentreI grew up in New Ash Green and have good memories of ballet classes in the original village hall in the centre and then in the new village hall also activities such as Brownies and music club. Magpie toyshop, Pandoras box and Karas were favourite haunts to spend our pocket money not to mention the penny sweet counter in Martins newsagents. I had a Saturday job in the green grocers and waitressed in the Ashes restaurant the centre was busy. The green grocers queue used to go out of the door and mingled with the bakery queue. Sad to see it's being left to deteriorate as it can be an asset to the village.
