I have two children in Santa Rosa school district. I am a mom scraping by for groceries and my kids dad has long work days. If these schools close how are they going to get an education at the same time I should be working so I can afford food and clothing for my kids? Employers frown upon bringing children into the workplace and the state mandates children be enrolled in school. Please help us provide a balance for working class families like mine. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my experience as a mom stuck living in an expensive area.
As a Arlington heights pyramid graduate I am proud to say I attended SHM, stripling , and Arlington heights. I have always been proud in saying that because it’s where everyone wants to be. I’m a friend of multiple people
Who want to send their own kids there and I advocate for it. My nephew is supposed to be going to stripling next year and he is so excited to attend 6th grade there. It’s an amazing pyramid with excellent teachers and staff.
Living in Arlington heights, we understand how integral these schools are to the children and families of our neighborhood. Every alternative needs to be considered before shuttering these facilities.
I went to North Hi Mount for grades Kindergarten thru 6th back in the early ‘60’s. I currently help deliver Pack-a-Snacks provided by my church (Arlington Heights United Methodist). I also feel a connection to this school because my company built the activity building addition to the school in the mid ‘80’s.
This school has been a vital part of the community and must continue in it’s mission of providing quality education and support for children who depend on it.
I support this because I am a 6th grader at Stripling Middle School and have a brother in 4th grade at North Hi Mount. It would be very difficult for North Hi Mount to be closed because we are part of a strong community there. I want the best for my brother and his future and I know Stripling and North Hi Mount are the best options for him.
We love NHM, and support SHM and Stripling! These schools are the heart of our community. Our boys are in the dual language program at NHM and are thriving. Every staff member in the building knows ALL of our kids. We also love the economic diversity of the building. We must support all children for a successful future!!!
Please help us save our neighborhood schools! We have spent the last decade walking our daughters to and from North Hi Mount. It has been a loving and safe place where we have all felt accepted and it has allowed our daughters to thrive. Stripling provided the same for our oldest who is now a freshman at AHHS.
North Hi Mount is a fantastic elementary school, learning hub, and a bright source for the community it sits in. You cannot justify the real and tangible impacts this school has made to the people it serves. And don’t even get me started on the level of parent engagement this school has. That alone should tell you how valuable and worth this elementary school is to the children who get to learn at North Hi Mount. Please reconsider any and all decisions to close this valuable institution.
We love being a part of the Arlington Heights community and feel public education and the role of South Hi Mount in our community is essential! Closing this school as well as stripling and North Hi Mount would be a loss for our community and Fort Worth as a whole!
