As a mother and grandmother I feel like there needs to be more done to protect our children! We all have places to be but we also need to take a step back and realize the consequences for rushing! Life is too short to ignore lawd and rules that were put in place for a reason!!

They are so saddened by it every day having to remember their sister and daughter this way. Nothing can bring sweet Addy back but it can make sure this doesn’t happen to another family. Children and parents should not have to worry about something happening while getting on or off of the school bus.

Her life was taken from her from someone that didn't stop for the school bus. Addy's Law needs to stay. And a fine of $1000 needs to stay. Why give someone 3 chances to take a child's life before they get a high fine? Addy's Law is and will continue to save our beautiful children. They are our future.

As a public school educator it is hard to imagine the blatant disregard a motorist can exhibit regarding school bus laws. Common sense and situational concern about your surroundings while driving is a very basic lesson of the youngest drivers. It’s not enough to be fined, there has to be mandatory education as well, with an actual minimum passing grade to be allowed to drive legally after the infraction.
Ray supported: STOP the Amendment of Addy’s LawI signed this petition because a moody bus driver closed the doors on my then 3rd grader, that left him pinned half in, half out, and dragged to the other side of the side street, while holding on for his life. He has ongoing issues due to it. Things like this should never happen to our children. There should be sensors in the door and stairwell as well, that arm and don't allow the bus to move unless cleared. Our children are our future.
Abigail supported: Emory’s Law: Mandating Essential Safety Features on School BusesWe are homeschoolers and I am surprised to learn today that a school bus doesn't have these basic features in this age and time. This is unacceptable in so many ways. I am sorry for Emory and many like her who didn't deserve this. Hope this law is put in place ASAP.
