As a Mother of a son who later developed Schizophrenia in his 20s and continued without proper help, I’m pleading with anyone who can get this process started to do so! I lost my son in 2018 to suicide. But not before several trips to jail. Once it was discovered and he was officially diagnosed within schizophrenia, it was 6 months later that he died of suicide. I can’t help but wonder if he would be alive if it were diagnosed and properly treated sooner? Michelle LaVechia

And for the first time in my life I got to where I needed mental help bc of all the stress that was put on me alone with a 15 year old child to take care of by myself. THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE HERE IN ROANE COUNTY THAT NEED A MENTAL FACILITY! Thank you

To be living that day in and day out because there is no help and people label you as “crazy” it’s a horrible feeling and these people need our help to get something opened up to where the place they go is somewhere where they are safe and feel safe at the scariest time of their life instead of jail or prison because these people aren’t just crazies on the street this is someone’s baby, someone’s brother, someone’s best friend. They deserve compassion and love. More importantly they deserve the resources that they don’t have access to get them the help they need so they can go on to live an abundant happy joyful life. With your help, please sign so that something can be done for these people. It could be you, or your family.
Marilyn supported: Establishment of Behavioral Health CenterI've dealt with a friend who suffers from mental illness and I've called the crisis hotline so many times trying to get him help but they'll only keep him for 4 or 5 days and he's in the same shape that he was when they bring him back and this needs to change 😥

This hospital could also treat people with dementia and Alzheimer's that have psychosis and breakdowns.
