Victories in Religion and Culture

I have proudly signed this petition and stand firmly behind saving the Lord Hanuman Temple in Jersey City. The temple has been a cornerstone of our community—providing spiritual solace, cultural enrichment, and unity to thousands of residents over the years. For the community, this temple represents more than bricks and mortar; it is a place where traditions are nurtured, families come together, and generations connect to their roots. It is deeply disappointing and morally troubling that BCB Community Bank, after previously assuring support for the temple, has chosen profits over principles, threatening to dismantle a community institution that has given nothing but positivity and hope to countless individuals. The decision to unfairly raise rent and pursue eviction demonstrates a disregard for cultural sensitivity, community values, and trust. Such actions reflect poorly on the bank’s ethical responsibilities and reveal a lack of respect toward the community that has supported it for years. I urge BCB Community Bank to reconsider its actions and remember the importance of integrity and community support, values that should matter far more than short-term profits. Let us stand united and ensure the survival of our cherished temple, which embodies our faith, culture, and collective spirit. Jai Shri Ram, Jai Hanuman!

This temple is playing vital role in my life. It keeps giving me a positivity and guide me in my dark phase. I would like to support this temple for smooth operation.

The Women’s Caucus of the AAR/SBL has served as a welcoming hospitable space that has lifted up and mentored women at various stages of their professional careers for decades — to remarkably good effect. The Academy remains a patriarchally structured space. That will not change anytime soon. Until it does this space — as a safe space but also a space of personal development, community and loving friendship — remains a necessity. It should return to the way it has been structured over the past decade. It has worked remarkably well as a means of mentoring people who identify as women, as allies, or those seeking support who are part of other margined communities. Put it back the way it was.

I'm signing because as an SA child victim, I understand how an assault can change the trajectory of a life . Children do not lie about sa. My personality changed from a happy child to an fearful, anxious child who grew into an adult with trust issues. At 6 years old, I always felt that I was to blame for what happened. Baby Lamb deserves justice as well as those who covered up the crime

Speaking from experience, not having justice ruins your life. 30 years ago and stories like this make me relive it every day! Justice is imperative to live a happy, healthy life

I am a survivor. I won’t stop til day Star agrees to a third-party investigation. Justice needs to be done.

I'm a CSA survivor from a family member. No one believed me till after I was married and found a cousin that was also. As we got older found many others were CSA survivors in our family. In time, it all comes out anyway. It's best for everyone that it comes out before there are more victims.
