In an age where tireless traffic dominates our roadways, it's imperative that we pave new paths—not just for the cars that whiz by, but for the two-wheeled riders and hoofed friends that add to the tapestry of our countryside. We must ensure that the routes we design embrace ALL members of our community. I am passionately committed to enhancing access. The exciting prospect of a new multi-user path stands before us, a ribbon of possibility that will weave together the villages of Layer de la Haye, Birch, Stanway and Peldon. This path will not only serve as a crucial link between our communities but also as a bridge that fosters connection, encouraging residents to thrive together in a safer, more welcoming environment. As we take this step towards a more integrated and inclusive approach to transportation, we are not just building a path; we are cultivating community ties and riding towards a brighter, safer and more sustainable future. Let us champion these changes together, for the benefit of all who roam the paths of our beautiful countryside.

I have lived in this village for over 60 years. We have always had access to the forestry via that road. It is wrong that someone can come into the village and bar this access that has been available to all the community for a century. My grandparents mt parents lived in this village and they always used that road

Having grown up in Cwmparc I feel it’s shameful that right of access should be denied

We have used this path for years, taking our children up the mountain for walks and picnics, and just to escape from all of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is such a beautiful circular route, to lose it in this way is devastating to know that in future others will not share in the pleasures and views it offers.

My children have been using this access for walking and riding their horses for over 20 odd years and still did my grandchildren have started in the last 2 years let's hope their children will be able to enjoy this mountain road like the rest of us have. Even the forestry have put in access (bridleway) for people to use.

The forestry Road is the gateway to our beautiful mountains. The beginning of the forestry is a big part of our village. We use it for many things . I used it as a child. I took my own child up there, I take the dogs for their beautiful views. Please don't take our entrance away.
