Hi there. I finally got around to watching Outer Range season 2 in March 2025. I am frustrated and disappointed to learn that Amazon has cancelled a season 3. The cancellation reeks of the same type of fate that befell similarly innovate shows like Counterpart and Firefly.
What I enjoy about OR is the honest performances, smart writing, and innovate (if bewildering) metaphor conjured by a giant black void. (In fact, this show reminds me of acclaimed vintage sci-fi in the vein of Clifford Simak.) This show is infinitely captivating and is telling powerful stories.
As a viewer, this cancellation makes it far less likely that I’ll invest my time to start watching new shows since we’re never quite sure if we’ll get to see the entire story. It’s not worth the emotional commitment. I have many friends and family that refuse to invest in watching new shows for the same reasons.
Amazon—The *story* is what will be remembered years hence, not a balance sheet. Please have the courage to renew Outer Range for a season 3 and allow this unique and original production to tell its stories.

If The Boys gets 55 million viewers, great, but that doesn't mean smaller shows don't have a loyal audience - think about them when you decide to nix shows. I'm certain there enough of them to make a dent in the Prime bottom line.

You're just pissing members off and creating cancellations when you take away people's favorite shows - even if it's single digit millions instead of double digit.
At least bring it back for one more season and give it a proper closure.
There should be two maxims in all serial production - 1. NEVER CANCEL fan favorites without a proper end.
2. NEVER only make it up as you go along.
How are these decisions made? With today's analytics you've got to be able to know when it's not worth it to do this!

So many shows are serious or overly dramatic or the comedies are so stupid that I wish I could regain the brain cells that died watching it!! It's even rather hard to find casts, and I mean the WHOLE cast not just the stars, that have amazing chemistry with each other that is completely natural and NOT faked with all the tricks used in filming. My Lady Jane is funny without being mjnd numbing, light seriousness vs heavy seriousness, witty in just the perfect way (not too stupid but not so intellectual or smart that it takes a minute to understand), in many ways it feels more real than alot of the shows out there that are meant to feel real!!! It is absolutely a breath of fresh air that I have been searching for to forget the world and my life for just a bit!!! No deep serious stories or thrillers or comedies that make me question my sanity or humanity or society. Not overly romantic or gory or sex oriented. I also LOVE how the characters are multifaceted and believable and relatable!!! There are absolutely topics that are meant to touch on topics of importance BUT they aren't slapping you in the face with the topics! You actually have to think on the story more to see the topics and what they are lightly touching on!!! Its the drama-dy I have been searching for for far too long and was so deeply disappointed when I found that there was no reason 2 to look forward to!!!! PRIME FIX THIS NOW!!! Cause this show has WAY better reviews and ratings than other shows you stupidly keep going and have given a second season to shows that never should have gone beyond a pilot episode let alone a second season!!! I'm beyond sick of amazing shows with great reviews and rating getting the axe for basically 0 reason and shows that get the worst reviews and lowest ratings are given a "2nd chance" to prove themselves and MAYBE become something! Support your GOOD shows and let the crappy ones go!!! LISTEN TO YOUR VIEWERS AND NOT TO YOUR SHAREHOLDERS or whoever is paying you off (or otherwise/worse) to keep the crappy ones and ditch the good ones!!! All you streaming services have been doing this lately and I am ready to cancel all of you and go back to cable!!! Atvleast there you have a decent chance of getting a show for more than 1 season and get a REAL reason for killing a show and for the price we consumers pay for all the streaming services anymore, cable is becoming cheaper and more reliable!!! GIVE MY LADY JANE AT LEAST 1 MORE SEASON, preferably sign them on for 2 MORE SEASONS to allow decent storyline and to make it up to the viewers!!!
