Having this hospital close saved my sons life. When my mom got deathly I'll from chemo it was fantastic having a n emergency room close to help her. This hospital is a life line to so many.
McKees Rocks and the surround area need hospitals and emergency rooms around I got stung by a bee and had a severe allergic reaction if it wasn’t for that hospital I might not be here…
Ohio Valley has been a staple for my family for generations. My oldest brother was born there. I spent many a days in the ER as a mischievous child and always had great care. I’m 68 now and live in another county but this hospital is greatly needed in my old stomping grounds. Still have family that goes there. Praying that it will be saved.
I have been going to pulmonary therapy at Heritage Valley Kennedy for many years. i have had several episodes of congestive heart failure combined with COPD and now kidney failure. Throughout all of this i have been able to rehab at OhioValley/Heritage Valley Kennedy. This place has brought me back to being able to live my life with quality after every episode. I continue going on their maintenance program which i gladly pay out of pocket even though I’m on a fixed income. The pulmonary staff know what they are doing, they are kind and encouraging. It is a very safe place for the patients who go there. If this clinic is closed I will have to go to a gym to use a treadmill and other machines and will be exposed to more people and germs. All the pulmonary patients need this clinic. Please do all that you can to help them stay open.
This hospital is absolutely vital to Kennedy Township, Robinson Township, McKees Rocks and all the surrounding areas. The ER, doctors, nurses and staff have provided great care to so many patients over many years. Please reconsider this decision!!
This hospital / ER was the only one who found about the colon volvulus / hernia I had that no other place found for years and after seeing dozens of specialists. I had the colon resection done at this hospital as well (thanks, Dr. Lally). It’s the only real hospital close to the residents of McKees Rocks and Kennedy Township.
I receive cardiac rehabilitation at Heritage Valley Kennedy currently, my mother was employed there for 30 years, I received cardiac care there in 1994, my Father & Mother received care there as well, Heritage Valley Kennedy needs to be saved for the community to secure care for all people now & in the future!
I just moved out to this area. Was in need of an ER that was close to my home. I was told about heritage valley in Kennedy , I went and they were just amazing! In and out ! Wonderful nurses and doctors. I feel safe knowing a ER is this close and I don’t have to go to the City or farther . I rather go to the ER than medexpress. Scheduling at doctor offices anymore are days weeks even months ahead of time! Please keep the ER open!!
I take the bus everyday. .e my dad and my daughter. I'm in a wheelchair. I go to kennywood, carnegie science center, grocery shopping, restaurants. I go everywhere without busses id ve in the house all the time. If I need to go downtown to ssi or welfare or somewhere I'd never be able to go. My dad has to take a bus to the bank to put the money in I pay him back. I have never had my lucence ive used buses my whole life. My daughter had been on busses since she's been 2 days old. My dad can no longer drive.
I do not drive due to being on the Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as cars & gas being so expensive. Thousands of Pittsburghers, including the disabled, depend on riding the bus to survive. If PRT cuts bus services, jobs will be lost, businesses along the shuttered routes will lose money, and riders who depended on the buses will be left stranded.
