Pinterest is a popular social media platform that allows users to discover and save creative ideas through images, videos, and links. It has become a hub for inspiration, DIY projects, recipes, fashion trends, and more. Recent trends on Pinterest include sustainable living, mental health awareness, and diverse representation in media.
Petitions on Pinterest often focus on promoting body positivity, advocating for mental health resources, and calling for more inclusive content. One petition with thousands of signatures urges Pinterest to feature diverse body types and promote self-love, recognizing the impact of media on body image issues. Another petition highlights the need for more mental health resources and support on the platform, emphasizing the importance of destigmatization and access to help.
Join the movement on Pinterest by engaging with these petitions and showing your support for a more inclusive and empowering online community. Together, we can create a positive and supportive space for all users.
As someone who uses They/Them - Zey/Zem, and have many friends that go by neos or split pronouns (She/It, He/They) I believe that there's no reason to not add more pronouns to Pinterest, or even have a reasonably moderated 'enter in your own.'
As long as the pronouns are regulated, meaning no slurs or inappropriate language allowed, customization of pronouns would bring so many people joy! Those using neopronouns and different mixtures of pronouns would feel more seen, and creativity is what Pinterest is all about!
I use a bunch of neos and I get really bad dysphoria if I'm misgendered. Even online being called the wrong pronouns makes me feel like I can't pass. As a younger queer person, we need to be more inclusive of people like me, who use uncommon neos
I think we should add more pronoun options! Mainly because having a set amount of the basic pronouns is extremely restricting for most LGBTQIA+ people, including me. Especially for neo-pronoun users!!!!! <33
