I live near the airport and we would benefit immensely from rapid public transit from the airport to downtown and back. But Musk’s plan is smoke and mirrors to divert public funds into his pocket. We don’t need this, we need to expand buses and lite rail, means of transportation we have and can build on. This is a waste of time and money.
Making Election Day a federal holiday in the United States could increase voter turnout by providing citizens with more time to vote without work conflicts. In the 2020 election, 13.1% of registered voters who didn’t vote cited being too busy or having scheduling conflicts as the reason. Additionally, such a holiday would celebrate democracy, turning voting into a nationwide event. This approach aligns with practices in other countries and has significant public support; a Pew Research Center survey found that nearly 80% of Democrats and nearly 70% of Republicans favor making Election Day a federal holiday.
Many teenagers, like myself, are politically educated and want a say in who rules our country. If the voting age is lowered, it means that younger voices would be heard, it would promote more voting, and possibly encourage more teens to educate themselves politically to prepare. Sixteen year olds should be allowed to vote and stand for what they believe in.
This walkway makes it much easier to get to work (and back to my car after a long day). Unfortunately when it rains the path gets muddy and is not always usable. If this walkway were to be paved it would be a huge improvement to the stagehand experience at Opryland.
I have unfortunately, been in front of this judge & witnessed first hand her wrath of misconduct. I campaign for her and when the father of my child filed an Exparte based on hearsay l was forced to attend this woman’s court she, disrespected me, screamed, yelled, degraded me and continued a hearing without my attorney as he was stuck on the interstate due to accident on the highway., she looked at and said she was going to take my children from me and knew the witness testifying.
Thank god I got her recused
