Many teenagers, like myself, are politically educated and want a say in who rules our country. If the voting age is lowered, it means that younger voices would be heard, it would promote more voting, and possibly encourage more teens to educate themselves politically to prepare. Sixteen year olds should be allowed to vote and stand for what they believe in.
Taking one person rights away or denying them is a threat to anyone rights which is a threat to all our rights. Our rights is what makes us Americans and according to the Supreme Court in 1993 they ruled if you are in the United States. The constitution does apply to you. America has potential to be great we never lived up to that greatness but our rights could make us great if they are applied to everyone and he follow them and truly be Americans . And what makes the United States of America decent and good not great but good is the continuation of expanding those rights to everyone and each generation has to Persevere those rights and help protect and defend those rights inshine in the constitution and our constitutional Democratic Republic. “ injustice anywhere is inJustice everywhere “ Rev. Colleges across the country are beginning to do this to its international students. My own college has revoked the visas of four international students, effectively forcing them out of school. To see Murray State is participating in this activity is disheartening to say the least.
Taking away the rights of one is taking away the rights of all of us. We are not free until all of us are free, and that includes those of us who are immigrants. International students are a vital part of the campus community and deserve the same opportunity to study without fear, the rights to due process and free speech, and the freedom to express their opinions freely.
Our international students are truly some of the most inspiring and hard working people I have ever met. It is important that we protect them, so that future students have opportunities to meet amazing friends and colleagues like I have.
In addition, having so many different perspectives and cultures at MSU are what allows it to be so unique and flourish. I appreciate any actions that can be done to help my fellow amazing students.
