As a small business owner/operator, people should have a choice who they do business with. Allowing big companies to come in and have contracts only hurts small business and people’s choices. Also customer service goes out the window because they have a contract so it doesn’t matter if they do a good job or not.

He is a manipulative horrible mentor & should have no access to children.
That alone should have been enough evidence to warrant further investigation by the state and school board. Regardless of accolades, a teenager IS NOT in a stage of development where they can handle this type of attention (and let’s be real, it was more than just emotional attention!) from other teenagers let alone adults. If the student needed the amount of “counseling” she required, then he would have been a mandatory reporter. On top of that, why did the prosecutor not bring in some sort of handwriting analysis? Model must have graded a thousand papers with his handwriting all over them. The victim in this case did not get any justice, and seemed to be dismissed based on a popularity contest. Where is the remorse by Knodel, the school, school board, and legal system?

No teacher calls a student in the middle of the night. He will do this again. He ruined Maggie's life. Stripping him of his teaching job will keep him away from vulnerable students. He is a predator. Shame on that school.
