Please do not ruin our beautiful Williamsburg with tall buildings, apartments & condos! I moved from Northern VA. I watched the beautiful town of Reston that I grew up in be ruined with congestion & crime and becoming just plain ugly and unsafe. We came to this area to raise our 2 sons in a healthy, calm, safe environment and they are thriving here. Please don't ruin it! We don't want what your selling
Keep Williamsburg historic! There’s too much development already - some ruining historic battlefields and removing buildings and neighborhoods that have been here for over a century. Visitors come to see the restored historic area, not a developed metropolis. I have lived and worked in the Historic Area of CW for the past 15 years, but I visited as a child. Before the development, it was like going back in time. Keep it that way.
Every day people make decisions on where to live and work based on proximity to public lands, which they see as reliable places for fun, comfort, and rest. People expect that these places will always be there for them. The city of Santa Fe has an obligation to protect our limited public space.
Transparency needs to be present and every level in government and I want to make my voice heard a a proud American citizen. If you don't have anything to hide then ease our minds and explain what you have been doing with this money and how it benefits the residents of Mesa county!
The community improved this area from neglected, unmaintained and often trashy to a place of meaning and beauty. If some adjustments are needed to make it safe, then provide guidance and a ‘path’ to compliance (pun intended). Let the garden stand as it what it has become for the community - the gateway to Dog Beach.
This petition is such an important step toward preserving not just a garden, but a legacy of community, care, and connection. Gwen’s Memorial Garden was more than flowers and benches—it was a place where neighbors met, families found quiet comfort, and children learned about the importance of nature in our everyday lives. Erasing it without any clear justification feels like wiping away a chapter of our shared history and the spirit of togetherness Gwen inspired.
Progress is not only about making money. Sometimes it is about caring for the environment, for other species than humans, and for leaving things the way they were. All of Huntington Beach has been built up and central park is one of last remaining areas for wildlife. Not everything should be about human entertainment. Some things need yo be left for nature.
I’ve been going to the Central Park for months now. It’s been a place where I can go to spend time in nature and relieve stress from life and work. I love hearing the birds and appreciating the wildlife. Please do not disrupt the wildlife.
Listen to your constituents for once instead of always selling out to the highest bidder. This is a place where people from all walks of life visit to spend time with family and let nature restore our souls. You never bothered to ask but no one who frequents this park wants this. Keep out park as the natural respite it was intended to be.
