I am so sorry for your loss. We also lost our Son. The monster should be in prison for life. When someone takes another’s life they should be given a life sentence just like the victims family have to serve. There is no deterrent in the UK to deter anyone from committing murder. The justice system is not fit for purpose. The people responsible for permitting the early releases should put themselves in the victims family shoes and see how they would feel if it was a member of their family that had been murdered.

Shirlieann supported: Stop the TEMPORARY/EARLY release of Robbie Smullen - he stabbed our child to death!I hear many asking for more searches of children entering school, and at the same time I hear many parents condeming searches as they say "why should my child be searched they are innocent" Then I ask those parents against searchig, would you still be against searching if it was your child caught up in something like this? I am a mother of 3 adult children and grandmother of 9, I have gone through 3 generations of children (from myself to my grandkids) going to school and seen how times have changed and with it the violence of kids and towards kids. Its time we started prosecuting the parents of kids out of control, as well as holding teachers/headteachers accountable when incidents like this happen. A child threatens/bullies others is exluded for days then is allowed the child back in to MURDER another child. The headteacher is also responsible and should be sacked and charged. If a parent neglects their children, the children are removed and the parent prosecuted so why shouldn't the head of this school face the consequences of his decision. Its his decision to allow the child back into school that resulted in a boy losing his life. Not to mention all the kids who will now be affraid to go to school. They fine parents for keeping kids off school. What will they do to someone who made the decision that led to the death of a child? Reward him with a pay rise? Get knives of the streets and out of peoples hands and make it so they don't want the consequenses. Increase the sentencing laws and prosecute all those who contributed including and especially bad decision making that results in serious injury/death.
