The latest news on illegal weapons kept at home by Digwa calls into question why the police when they arrested him in 2023 following reports by the local Sikh community failed to charge him.

Surely the police searched his home at the time?

Did they fail to identify illegal weapons like machetes, ninja swords, flick-knives, knuckledusters etc. for which Digwa, his brother and father are now charged?

Did the police fail to refer the matter to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)

We are not convinced the IOPC will look into this aspect of the police failing to take Digwa off the streets. The IOPC  also has no remit over the CPS.

The IOPC arranged a meeting with the Sikh Federation (UK) on 26 June, but cancelled last minute and rearranged for week commencing 6 July, but emailed on 6 July stating the “need to postpone arranging a meeting while some internal matters are being considered. ‘

What are these “internal matters”?

It appears the latest court proceedings are going into areas reported by the media on incidents before Henry’s killing e.g. possessing an air weapon (reported by a neighbour).

The media report below states: “The court heard all three defendants face an additional amended count of having three push daggers, but this charge was not put to them to enter pleas while clarification was sought by the judge.” Push daggers where the handle is designed to be gripped in the fist with the blade protruding between the fingers are illegal so what clarification is the judge seeking?

The police, CPS and court messed up in Vickram Digwa case by failing to clarify the murder weapon was nota sacred Kirpan.
