Our right for unfettered, responsible journalism is being threatened, by a corrupt administration. We deserve quality reporting and integrity. 60 minutes has been a well respected voice for decades. I want to continue to enjoy well researched, objective journalism. I am against this oligarchy threatening to eliminate our democracy.

free speech and education are human rights, not extras to cut and dismantle.

SNO and WordPress are at the very heart of high school journalism, and have been for decades! We Wake County high school journalists care deeply about preserving our publications’ work and continuing as functioning newspapers into the future. Please help us keep this platform, or aid us in discovering a feasible, high quality alternative that provides equal features.

As a former co-editor-in-chief of Cary High’s newspaper, The Page, back in 2020-2021, I believe full access to student journalism is imperative. The Page’s website was and is the most accessible way for other students and community members to access information on news and culture. Protect student journalism!

Student journalism is a vital part of our schools, giving students a voice and a platform to share stories that matter. Platforms like SNO and WordPress are not just tools—they are archives of student works, preserving years of dedication and creativity. Removing access to these sites would silence student voices and erase valuable history. Please support our right to speak, write, and maintain these important records. Help WCPSS understand that this only silences student journalists and shows no real benefit.

Student journalism matters more than ever. To all the decision makers at WCPSS, please help us keep this platform or provide a high-quality alternative to ensure we don't lose many years and hundreds of hours of student work.

Basic human rights should be upheld, just because we are in a school system does NOT mean we are withheld from basic freedom of speech!

WCPSS consistently supports student athletes, yet support for artistic, even academic endeavors, remains lacking. As a former WCPSS student and now parent, I urge schools to step up show you care about students’ voices. Do not suppress the voices of these kids. These are our future leaders and decisions-makers. Amplify their message instead of attempting to suppress it.

Students should be able to covey our message. Each student has unique passions and strengths and having the oracle is an incredible outlet for our expression. If you all are making decisions about our education, we ought to be able to speak about it and have our voices heard.
