I'm a foster carer with Dogs Trust Newbury and got the news from the staff earlier this week 🙁 gutted that I won't be able to be a volunteer anymore as the other centres in Salisbury, Evesham and Harefield are just too far away. Such a shame as the centre is in a lovely location surrounded by nature which a lot of the dogs who have come from traumatic backgrounds really need.
We have had 2 dogs from Dogs Trust in Ilfracombe, our first dig was 15 when she died & gave us all including our children who grew up with her a lot of love & pleasure.
Our 2nd dog is now 11 & is an important part of our family.
It will be a shame if Dogs Trust gave to close as (Their Moto was that they would never put a Healthy dog to sleep).
KEEP GOING DOGS TRUST.
we have had 2 dogs from dog trust, sadly our first dog past away after 14 years, we have another dog from dogs trust ( 1 year ago) both dogs had been negleted by there previus owners. without the care and profesional attention frpm the employees of dogs trust these dogs and thousands more would have not fount a loving home
Sharing this because we need to keep small business on the high street- often these places provide a social aspect for many as well as just being a service
Its disgraceful that businesses in our community are affected so significantly and unfairly compared to others. Salons are the backbone of our local area. They are with us through all key stages of life as well as routine grooming. Elite is Chandlers Ford is exactly that. Superb quality and service with a team who becomes part of your life. I can call in on the way home from work for appointments, buy products there as well as have treatments from expert staff. These services are vital to us . They should be supported, treated fairly and continue to provide first class training for the next generation of stylists.
My whole family need Cumberbsuld theatre for days out and very importantly the classes so vital to my grandchildrens' development. I feel confortable going on my own. Its a wonderful community hub for anyone, any age.
The theatre is vital to an already depletion of services in Cumbernauld. It provides an opportunity for families and friends to get together and at the same time support a local amenity which is sadly lacking in the town.
The arts are always the first to lose essential funding. The benefits to people in having a local theatre and cinema is so beneficial to the mental health and inclusiveness of so many people who can't travel further or afford to pay larger theatre prices in larger cities. The Lanternhouse offers easy access and modern facilities and supports so many local and professional groups, that it would be a travesty if it was unable to continue.
