Bridge city is just as bad with the bullying. I have a sophomore that is sweet as anything and if you’re not in every sport and good at it, then the students will just torment the hell out of you so she stays to herself and has no friends. she has a boyfriend and that’s it. It’s really sad because she Loved it when we first came here in the sixth grade after CO-Vid and she made many many friends, but they started dwindling after eighth grade 9th grade 10th grade is horrible for her and hell some of the girls that are doing the tormenting are ostracizing her their parents or grandparents work there so it doesn’t get any help from anybody so she just stays to herself.
I myself was bullied in school for my appearance and the clothes that I wore. It made it hard to go to school each day for that reason. No child should have to go through that.
TSU showed prejudice against these guys for sure!!! I am from Memphis and you just do not know how people view me before I even talk. They treated these guys all suspects and criminals the entire time. A black school steoreotyping young black men is crazy and hyopcrtiical.
Bullying is a HUGE problem throughout Murray County Schools! It's a complete shame that our children can't just go to school and learn without having to worry about who is going to make fun of them because their clothes aren't fancy enough or their shoes aren't the newest thing out, who is going to talk about them because they are poor, or even put their parents down because they are disabled. Believe it or not, in our situation, we've experienced a couple of teachers who were the bullies!
