I love to hike here. I have so many memories some as earlier as 5yrs old... this place is my place away from the world to escape from everyday life and just hike, relax and enjoy nature. The sounds of the falls, flowing water, rustling of the leaves, sounds of birds and other animals that call this place home.
Its very simple. We are destroying our planet. Im not talking about climate change, I'm talking resources, habitats, and simply the beauty of nature. People depend on the water in this region for their homes and family. Animals depend on the natural habitat from this area for their homes. People deserve and want an area they can enjoy nature and the tranquil beauty it provides. We simply don't need industrial development in this community. There are empty warehouses everywhere, start making companies utilize that warehouse space before building more. If they don't want to use other space, charge a development fee that can be used to set aside land from development. Stop creating the FLUM to make money by bringing in developers, or on this situation getting rich by selling land you own. The county bought this land to keep it from being developed....what the he'll happened?
The Towliga river is our property line on the back of you property. Our property already floods when we get a heavy rain and the river comes out of its banks. I hate to imagine what would happen if they put warehouses in above High Falls lake. The water going into the lake would be a tremendous amount of water. Nasty, dirty oily water. It will destroy the river and animal habitat. That’s why I am against the warehouses above High Falls lake.
