My wife and I bought our home in woodbine because of the cozy neighborhood. We are now raising our first kid here and love it. There is already a lot of traffic in our area and reasoning would only complicate that and make it less safe for our kid. Refining is not what this neighborhood wants or needs.

I oppose Ms. Welsch's proposal for rezoning and design overlay of the residential transect of the 16th District. I am not opposed to the improvement and development of the neighborhoods within. I want South Nashville to become a vibrant neighborhood that retains its cultural influence in this city. It is already happening in some ways. I want to see my neighbors invest in their properties and want to welcome the evident growth potential. I just want to make sure that it is done with consideration and in complicity with those who have called these neighborhoods their home. This should be the vision of a collective neighborhood and not the whims of a councilperson who only pulled in approximately 6-7% of the eligible votes in her district and is actively working with developers, which she is.

We have a cozy home in Woodbine and love the neighborhood as is. Changing the zoning without the consent of the community is wrong. Residents should be included in major decisions and informed about proposals that affect their communities.

This rezoning will destroy historic thriving middle class neighborhoods in Woodbine where home prices are still relatively affordable. Many of my neighbors have lived in their homes for over 25 years. This rezoning would systematically devalue their property and force them to move.

Living on Sunrise Ave, our intersections are busy enough and dangerous enough. One woman already stuck and killed - with more homes in less space and no regulations for on sight parking, roads will be narrowed even further with cars parking on the street. The ONLY winner of this petition is big LLC investors who do not live in the area - this is not good for anyone actually living in the community. Propose and approve changes that actually benefit the current community

I have lived on my home for 47 years, I do Not want them to do this to my Woodbine neighborhood, besides building apartments, condos and what ever else, is only going to raise out taxes and bring more crime into our area, which we already have enough of. I vote No for what they are wanting to do...I think that our council person should stand up for us and our neighborhood, we don't want this Overlay.. it's not what our neighborhood needs.

I have lived in this neighborhood for my entire life and there’s nothing funny about a mixed-use properties popping up in my backyard. This zoning change will also affect our taxes,

This is one of the last neighborhoods in Nashville with residents, families, homes that are generational, and not completely knocked down for developers to continue to bottleneck the infrastructure. So many generational residents as well as the newcomers to this neighborhood restoring and living in these homes that have been here for nearly a century, not knocking them down for rentals. Still a few streets untouched by "Developers" with real residents, neighbors and families, this is has become one of the last rare areas inside the city worth PROTECTING !

I have lived here for a little over 30 years and I love our community. Please do not re-zone we will loose our beautiful community to overcrowding. Let’s keep our uniqueness.

This overlay would be catestropic to the daily lives of the residents that currently reside here. Our neighborhoods and roads can’t handle can’t handle this type of increase. If our council woman walked our streets or commuted at 5 pm on Thompson lane she would know how detrimental this measure is. She should advocate for sidewalks - not advocate to builders tearing down what makes our neighborhood special.
