I see how this is negatively impacting my brother in law’s quality of life and people around him for years. Numerous attempts to have this changed have fallen on deaf ears. I am sure that other people are bothered by this as well. Hopefully community engagement on a larger scale will lead to change and bring nighttime peace and quiet to Ebensburg
I also want my service changed back to the original company. I invested in two expensive trash cans that I can no longer use and am forced to lease a trash can from the new company. The quote the county received from the new company must have been much lower. This makes sense, considering the new company only allows one trash can per home, unless the homeowner pays for the additional cans to be picked up. This allows for the county to pay a minimum charge, with the homeowners absorbing the additional costs for multiple cans. The homeowner not only pays for the service through their taxes, but now also pays additional for the same service they had previously.
Waste Pro has missed picking up our bin twice even after it picked up all of our neighbors’ bins! It smashed into my neighbor’s live oak tree which had to be taken down by the county at a cost of 2500$( absorbed by the county) BUT refused to plant a tree in its place! It has yet to pick up another neighbor’s extra trash for 3 weeks despite their scheduling for it and numerous follow up calls!
