Pet rent is ridiculous rent is already sky high and now it makes things even harder and forces people who let go of their beloved pets and creates more of an issue for animal shelters due to pet rent 1000s of dogs a year are put down because shelters are over ran. Families are already struggling to make ends meet and pet rent on top of paying a deposit is just greedy and unjustified. It shouldn't be allowed renters already deal with 80% of landlords being slum lords we shouldn't have to work to death just to have a roof over our heads and keep our fur babies.

trying to meet animals in person. And it often sounds like the shelter is trying to block people from viewing
animals. This makes no sense and must stop. People need to personally connect with an animal vs. seeing them on a
website.
At adoption events I'm at monthly I see this "connection" from time to
time and it's what makes
rescue happen.
Increase viewing hours and more animals will get adopted. Often times it takes multiple visits before people commit to adopt. And this is ok, it needs to be a thought out process. But making it difficult to meet dogs and cats is what drives people to breeders. And breeders are a HUGE part of the over population problem we are having.

By that time the dog you saw could be gone. Please make it easy to adopt with the right reasons. Do not let them walk away from a shelter when these poor dogs need a home . I never heard of such a shelter not giving people a chance to pick a dog they are interested in, and then go home empty handed, they will probably not come back. so SAD open your shelters to adoption to all, to look for a new family member 🥲😪❤️🦮
