Living west of a mountain ridge where asphalt plant release its toxic fumes turns my home into a tar pit, making it impossible for me to breathe. Result: I often have to leave my home to not end up in the ER with a respiratory emergency. Oil and gas production at every stage is toxic to humans, especially little kids with developing bodies. It is not fair to the majority of Americans to have the oil industry making never before seen high profits and not using some of that money to invest in protecting the public.
Birgit supported: Protect New Mexico Children - show lawmakers we need a health buffer zone around schools.
I’ve have grown up in Michigan all my life, I was raised by the Great Lake Michigan, I want future generations to be able to enjoy the natural beauty just as I do.
Lindsay supported: Save Osceola County
Water is a resource important to all humanity. Michigan has the largest fresh water lakes in the United States of America. We can not risk polluting our fresh water supply or any water supply for that matter. It's outrageous that anyone would risk polluting the water for greed. The plants, animals and humanity deserves better than this! We want our children and all future generations to grow up in a healthy and beautiful environment.
Sabrina supported: Save Osceola County
While I am not a resident of Michigan I still understand the value and connection its people have to their water resources. These water sources are essential to life and community and their well being. We should not allow private companies to take and use millions of gallons of public water that would have no benefit on the people who were there first. Stop selling our communities future for corporate greed
Zachary supported: Save Osceola County
The choices made today, out of selfishness and corporate greed, will impact the lives of everyday Americans forever. The rich will have access to clean water, while everyday Americans suffer. This choice is being made without our environment or everyday American in mind. Choose differently.
Lauren supported: Save Osceola County
While now live in West Michigan, Osceola county is where family has lived for well over 150 years. I still have so much family there and I want the beautiful woods, fields and marshes to be preserved. The need for well paying stable jobs is very real, but to sacrifice residence health and the natural resources and beauty for a “grand” vision sounds just like a snake oil salesman. Protect our Michigan land.
Kwade supported: Save Osceola County
I would be devastated to see more natural beauty destroyed in the name of greed. Michigan is home to so much fresh water that we need to do what we can to protect.
Lillian supported: Save Osceola County
This is a reoccurring Sentimental homebase for my family and I for the past decade it’s disgusting to watch something that means so much to you get overrun by corporate greed
Chloe supported: Save Osceola County
Michigan resident 33 years. In NO way is this acceptable! We’re still coming off the Flint water crisis and some of those who are owed lifetime insurance from unknowingly ingesting this water HAS BEEN CUT! We have to protect Michigan!
