Victories in Eminent Domain

The reason we moved into the Village of Fairchild was to be in a community in the country with land around us and a peaceful environment. We’ve grown close to many of our neighbors that would be immediately impacted by this. Please support our request to move to the less impactful solution. It seems like a no brainer!

Long time family land of farms and ranches are going to be ruined by this toll road. Please put it in the least likely place that will not distort families, homes and livelihood of generations of families. The subdivisions are bad enough.

We live near the cliffs in Mar Scenic Canyon marked "Do Not Enter -- Unstable Cliffs -- Danger." Yet one of the proposed routes would bore a tunnel underneath that land. The most logical solution is to take the train off the coast at Camp Pendelton, then run it South on I-5 from there. It will (a) avoid transport of hazardous chemicals below residential areas, (b) prevent the taking of residences in our communities, and (c) preserve the character and operation of our coastal towns and local businesses. Why should hard working tax paying citizens lose their home to eminent domain when there are safer less impactful rail alternatives down the I-5?

I live on south Recuerdo I’m extremely concerned about the tunneling in the surrounding canyons close to my home. It’s a massive amount of money for a senior on a fixed income. I can’t afford higher taxes.

Much of the development is not needed or wanted. Some communities near me have water rationing in place. The environmental impact does not seem to be considered. A community near me fought to keep a small watershed which was a bird sanctuary. They loved it. The commissioners voted to build a Publix. There’s a Publix 1/2 mile away. Very disappointing.

HB 4061 gives developers emminant domain over our water, roads etc. We are retired on fixed income & won't be able to pay the exorbitant rates Mattamy Homes plans to charge residents for 99 years.

I love my home for approximately 23 years in Myakka City, Fl. I can feel my blood pressure drop going East on Fruitvillle rd toward home as I pass cattle, horses, andassorted wildlife. not any more as I see NY City at I-75. It breaks my heart!

This is legislation introduced by the WVID's own House representative, who seems to have the Canadian billionaire who owns a significant portion of Wellen Park, where WVID is located, more than his own American voter constituency. The billionaire Canadian developer seems to have the ear of Florida legislature and Ron DeSantis as previous legislation shows. All of this catering to a billionaire Canadian is at the expense of Real Americans who live in, vote in and pay taxes in WVID, the people that are being attacked by their own legislature.
