Message from the Coalition for Safer Trains. We thank you for your continued support. We continue to fight to save our community. We just found out SANDAG and BNSF want to put three rail lines through our community...so they can triple the number of passenger trains from 44 to 114 per day and increase freight trains from 6 to 14 per day. This is tripling the pollution in all communities from Oceanside to Sorrento Valley. Due to increased passenger rail they will have the freight trains sitting idling spewing toxic pollution on the third rail line. It is truly amazing the assault on our communities when these organizations and policy makers talk about lowering green house gas emissions, while they are allowing the rail industry to triple pollution in our communities. We propose a less impactful alternative called the Northern Yellow Line, which uses empty public land. Check out our Website!    https://safertrain.org/
