Thank you for putting this together. You can only grade a road so often without actually putting down new material. To expect the road to magically fix itself, is mind blowing. Due to the amount of new homes built over the last 10 years, additional traffic, heavy trucks traveling down the road, and lack of material, it’s impossible to think without paving the road the roads will “magically” get better. The pot holes are ridiculous and the road is embarrassing. Let’s get it done.

Beside the point of saying how proud we should all be to have these dedicated workers, we need them which l find very important for a service like this to be available right now, not one you may have to wait to long on. If we loose them it could be cause for me along with others to leave Alva and go to where services are available. Please keep these wonderful people right here to continue to save lives.

Gayla supported: Maintain Our Local Alva EMS Service and Reject OutsourcingAEMS has very skilled and trained personnel that don’t have a city government to help them succeed by the city government using money in the wrong aspects and want to be lazy and just throw a yes vote to everything! With that being said I would like to see AEMS be kept and the city government create an emergency fund account for just the EMS service. However so many people have horse blinders on and see past what AEMS performs, how they perform their abilities to serve their community. I myself have either been in a classroom, been assisted by them on a fire scene or they have come to assist Alfalfa County EMS, they are amazing at what they do and how they do it and have a very reasonable response time compared to many other agencies. Outsourcing an entity is NOT always a yes answer. Maybe that person saying the YES is the problem! I hope that this petition comes to the best and helps AEMS!
