The young woman that endured this comment and unwanted touch is my niece. On top of the embarrassment, women and officers were laughing. What if your child was subjected to this unwanted action, would you still laugh? I hope there is an investigation and severe consequences for these school board members.
Penny supported: Fire Jerry Boyd and Keith Ervin from Washington County Board of Education
The decision to ban skirts for girls isn’t just about uniforms, it reflects a deeper double standard. While boys are free to sag their pants or bend dress code rules without the same scrutiny, girls are being singled out and restricted. This sends the message that our clothing is inherently inappropriate or distracting, which shifts the blame onto us instead of holding everyone to the same expectation of respect. In a Catholic school that preaches dignity, equality, and moral responsibility, it feels hypocritical to enforce a rule that disproportionately limits girls’ expression while overlooking the same behavior in boys. Do better O’dowd.
Zoë supported: Reintroduce Skirts in Bishop O'Dowd School Dress Code
I was sitting in class when my mom was trying to call me. She wanted to tell me that my grandma had just passed away from cancer. But I never got the call, because my phone was locked away in a Yondr pouch. When I got home, she broke down telling me that she couldn’t reach me in the moment she needed me most.
John supported: End phone ban in all schools in Arkansas
It’s not the fact we can’t be on them in class it’s the fact we have to leave them powered off and in our backpacks and we can’t even bring them to the bathroom so if there was an emergency we couldn’t call for help
Aliyah supported: Allow Cellphones at Brevard County High Schools for students
what if something happens?? so many school shootings and threats happen nowadays and students need their phones. they should be allowed to contact parents if something happens either in school or a personal issue. if anything teachers can take our phones during class and give them back after to use in hallways.
Alexandra supported: Allow Cellphones at Brevard County High Schools for students
Are you going to be the one to look sobbing mothers in the face and tell them that their children couldn’t send their last words because phones are “too distracting” in schools?
