Kohler Andrae State Park is a gem of nature, a place to camp, walk the beach in all seasons. My go-to place to find solitude, listen to wind, waves. Please keep Kohler Andrae for us, future generations
Im an Ardentown neighbor on Harvey Rd and this petition not only makes good sense, BUT it also provides an alternative course of action. I think it's SUPER important to keep communities like this as unobstructed as possible ESPECIALLY considering the last evaluation was 100YEARS AGO, I think A LOT can change in A CENTURY for power companies. Do Better Delmarva.
I’m sick of it being over Oklahoma. The trees die, you can’t grow nothing like in the old days ,we all seem more sick ,have skin problems ,air quality. It ruins it all ,and we need the sun to live ! Not blocked out .
We have destroyed so much of our area. Please stop. This is also why the hurricane are able to do so much damage. You have taken down nature own buffers. Fla wildlife have no where to go but into areas that have people then animals get destroyed or relocated another word “ Punished” for doing what it has always done. No money is that important to destroy the land and Gods creations. No more development in this area. We the people do not want it here
You want to live happy and healthy lives so why do you feel that animals don’t deserve to as well? Just because they cannot
speak does not mean they do not feel the same as us.
It's impressive how much government officials will do because they know they don't need to see the pain. The poison that they are spreading. I don't know if you remember, but let me remind you of something. In your high school biology class, they should have talked about biodiversity. How biodiversity keeps the planet rich and safe, because every species in needed to continue to make our world thrive. With this little reminder, I would like you to rethink your actions. Nature is needed, and they need a safe space to exist. Now, even if you won't consider nature, consider your citizens. Not how much money you will be making because of the building of these houses, consider every day citizens that live in that area. That their lives will be disrupted because of this plan to make a quick buck, and then do an attempt (I'm sure it's very hard for you) to put yourselves in their shoes. Please.
If we destroy nature, we face extinction. Material possessions, money , technology or a golden capsule floating into space will give humanity this amazing experience of bein alive in this planet. What about the future generations? Do we really want to pass a chaotic society onto our children because our selfness ruled our actions? Where is our empathy for humans and all living thins around us? Let's humble ourselves and understand that SOIL , PLANTS and ANIMALS are the ones that make our POSSIBLE and ABUNDANT. If you believe in something ,
God, energy, nature and love, this is your time to show you live up to your values.
We need to protect our vulnerable habitats from overdevelopment. Floridas biggest threat is the continued disregard of the environment for profit. we are sick of it. And we will continue to fight for wild Florida.
There is too much development in Charlotte County. This property is unique and is home to many endangered species that have no where to go due to over development. Aside from the environmental impact this development will bring there is no infrastructure to support a development of this size. This will cause a burden on surrounding tax payers to pay for the infrastructure needs to support this development. Schools and roads are over crowded and this will cause a further burden on current citizens.
We don’t need more development in Charlotte County especially in the Punta Gorda area. There’s already so much going on around the Jones loop. There are coyotes ants lots of other wildlife that is being disrupted and even more bobcats are coming out. They’re coming into the neighborhoods that we already have that we don’t have sufficient plans or infrastructure to support all of this development and we certainly don’t need more development and population density going up Duncan Road. It’s ridiculous & it’s going to cause more flooding to nearby communities and disrupt so many gopher tortoises, and other wildlife. We’ve just got too much here it’s time to stop and take a break and look around and decide what kind of community we want to live in and if we don’t keep a good balance between wildlife areas and developed areas of our county it’s just going to look like another crowded Lee County. We need to preserve some wildlife and wild areas for tourism purposes as well. it’s not just about the animals although they’re very important I think it’s critical that we preserve it for future generations, and to maintain the character of this county.
