As the State Representative for the Ardens, I have actively advocated for an alternative to the transmission lines going through the Villages of Ardentown and Ardencroft.

Although I agree with the points eloquently raised in the petition’s language, I also inquired why Delmarva’s transmission lines project wasn’t approached like a new transmission line installation for a new residential community in 2025?

Delmarva should assess the project's scope and design from the current 2025 requirements for installing new transmission lines for new residential developments, not the 1926 requirements for installing transmission lines in farmland/greenspace environments (that no longer exist).

Delmarva admitted that if the existing transmission lines had never been built in Ardentown and Ardencroft, and Delmarva was installing new transmission lines to service Ardentown and Ardencroft for the first time in 2025, they likely wouldn’t install the transmission lines down the same easement paths through the Villages designated in 1926.
