Coups and insurrection come in many flavors. What the current administration and the oligarchs funding it are doing to federal employees and public servants is a slightly less visually disturbing but even more devastating event than the attack on the Capitol. Because no one has been held to account, it's happening again and the chances and consequences of success are absolutely terrifying. <br>

Don't sit on this. Don't let it rest. Don't let the people who have given so much for so long working day to day... scientists, inspectors, park employees... have to become yes-people to a rich man with an ego and the other rich man with an ego who he sold the ENTIRE COUNTRY to.<br>

I would love to move up in my agency and fulfill job duties closer to my area of study, but I am so nervous about this trend of belittling language, mockery, and blatant disregard for the Oath I swore from this administration. I am appalled that sensitive information has been accessed by someone without a security clearance or vetted authorization by Congress. It flies in the face of my Oath and makes the ethics trainings I am required to take look like a joke. I will be holding the line. I will not quit. Solidarity forever!

I recently retired from Head Start, an educational program for low income kiddos that provided meals. I saw the difference that program and that I made supporting and working through it. Our jobs are valuable and AT THE LEAST due process should be afforded to those who spent their entire careers in their federal or state positions.

I am a disabled veteran and can’t work due to neurological issues that resulted from my time in Afghanistan. We finally got out of a hole when she secured her GS-7 position. She worked hard—really hard. She did everything she could to take care of me and our two dogs.<br>

Last week, she was let go by the administration because her work was tied to “DEI” policies. All she did was process new employees, set them up, provide courses on benefits, run payroll, and assist upper management in running operations.<br>

My wife took her own life because she was afraid to tell me what happened and how we were going to be homeless again. The love of my life ended her life over her career—because the one thing that brought stability to us was ripped away in just 24 hours.<br>

I am now in the care of my brother, but I lost my wife. I hope someone can give us answers as to why everyday, hardworking Americans—who just want to work and earn a modest living—are being used as political tools.

I am terrified that I will be fired before the process is completed simply because of my loyalty to the agency mission which includes climate change and diversity statements. I am terrified that my FERS and TSP agency match are at risk of being taken away not to mention my health benefits when I need it most. I am retiring now because of my ongoing battle with cancer. I am scared that all of my coworkers and friends who are federal employees or retirees and millions of others may find ourselves completely destitute in the near future! Please HELP!!
