I know how impactful this change would be for this young man. I have a special needs son whom we are fortunate enough to be able to care for at home. I cannot imagine him being ripped from his home and the people who love him and keep him safe. If this is allowed to happen to this young man, it would be considered inhumane in every way conceivable. STOP putting the almighty dollar first and take care of these vulnerable human beings who deserve the best of everything life has to offer. They struggle enough!
I'm signing this petition to stop my brother’s eviction and to urge Wiltshire Council to finally listen and increase his funding. Our family’s pleas have been ignored for too long—he has endured enough. He wouldn’t be choosing to leave his home, his friends, and the community he loves so much. Please help us fight for him!
It is deeply saddening, yet unfortunately not surprising, to see Stephen's experience being shared within my network. As a social care provider, I recognize that this is not merely a story—it is a reality occurring across Wiltshire and affecting many sectors within the care industry.
I am an Angelman parent in the US. Our Angels are incredible people deserving of the love and care that community can provide. Having their joy and energy in our lives is a blessing.
I have lost my home and i know how devastating it can be, everything you call home is gone in a flash then you have to go back to the beginning and try and start again,i wish you very good luck and hope it works out for you. Please have some compassion .

"I didn’t know about this story before, but it touched me deeply. Everyone deserves safety and love, especially those who can’t speak up for themselves. I truly hope Stephen can stay in the place he calls home.
You finally find a place where he is safe and the council won't pay for it. My son still lives with us but finding respite care since he turned 18 2 years ago is impossible because anywhere that can meet need is too expensive according to our council which is Lincolnshire. I've noticed it's like this with any council ending in shire. In other words not in the big cities. I wish you didn't need to but keep fighting for your son.
My son is 41 and neuro diverse. A vulnerable man who depends on our Local County Council to meet his care needs. He is also forced to contribute to the cost of his care support, leaving him with the bare minimum to live on. The only people whi benefit are the Care Providers, just interested in 'filling beds'. You have my full support and I understand how thus can be draining, physically and emotiinally. Yoy are a Warrior, but not alone. x
We should strive for a society wnete we all are equal with the same access to services. So often disabled people are excluded due to ignorance. This must be addressed
