Over my 35 year career as a lecturer I lost far too many young people to deaths and serious injury in car accidents. Predominantly age 17-18. We should take every measure possible to preserve young lives and give them a chance to achieve their potential.
As a parent. Also a parent that has gone through the horror and heartbreak of losing a child I couldn't agree with this more - when I was growing up ,when my children were growing up we witnessed the deaths of too many young people, many of whom involved in crashes with multiple others.
This case always really stuck with me, it's devastating loss for all involved 😔
It saves lives. We don’t need it to become law to make this happen! We can create a social movement, and start ensuring our own sons / daughters follow these guidelines. I will be when my son starts to drive at 17.
Our country roads are a nightmare and I’ve seen and heard of far too many fatalities over the years. I feel very strongly about young drivers carrying young passengers and driving after a certain time in the evenings
I have experience as a Healthcare professional of the awful aftermath of road accidents involving young and inexperienced drivers. The impact is far reaching and often involves many casualties and all associated with them. It's time to wake up government! Please listen!
As Road safety lead for South Yorkshire Fire an rescue. And a parent. I am passionate about all things Road safety. I will push this campaign with every contact I have starting with our local MP Dan Jarvis
These stories clearly highlight the need to put these measures in place NOW! Everyday more and more young people are losing their lives - this has to stop
