Allyship is speaking out but it’s also showing up for our communities. It means being willing to care about communities outside of our own because we know as humans we are all connected. Mess with RGV and you mess with us all.

It saddens me when I read this type of stories. Soon there will no clean water here or anywhere in this plant. Rivers all over the state of Texas are being polluted or maxed out due to over construction of houses. We need to advocate for our children and grandchildren.
Maria Lydia Rendon supported: The Rio Grande Valley Human Rights Crisis (Tambien En Espanol)It seems that during the pandemic, our systems have been falling apart and cities have neglected certain duties that they were taking care of pre-pandemic. Our systems are failing us, whether it be clean water, proper preventative care from floods, proper animal control care, etc. The list goes on and on. We were not warned of the last flood and many were displaced, ripped of their transportation, and put in dangers way. This is just one example of our falling, failing systems.
