Roadside drug testing for cannabis does not test for impairment, simply for presence. Cannabis is a prescribed medicine. The current drug driving laws are discriminatory and profoundly unfair to legitimate cannabis patients.

I'm like many others who have chronic pain but am afraid to take cannabis which had been proven to help in this area as I require a license to drive for my work. So the choice of staying on several other drugs which are all legal but much worse for my health in the long term at the risk of losing my job in trade for a healthier natural choice should be obvious, but I'm stuck like many others choosing the dumb choice.
Let's make a charge and legalise cannabis presence in your system is you have a medical certificate for it!

Like may Australians, I live in a regional area that does not have usable or reliable public transport. If I need to leave my house, I need to drive. Because of these anti-cannibis laws, I have to decide between days of severe neverending pain or potentially losing my only way to access the world outside my front door. You can drive on much stronger pain medication. You cand drive while severely sleep deprived. You cand drive while in severe pain. But chronic pain sufferers like me are not allowed to drive on the medication that ensures we are well rested and mentally aware. It's time to change that
