It doesn't matter if it's a short or long drive, in a remote area or in the middle of a busy street, we should feel safe when we call roadside assistance. As women we feel particularly alert in vulnerable situations like this. Having some simple requirements in place to verify the person sent to assist is essential for client and contractor safety.
I’m Laura’s sister. On the night of the incident that inspired this petition, she called me because she was scared. Through the phone I heard him swearing at her and I was genuinely afraid for her safety. This is not good enough.
I want to know that with all the driving my sister does, she can safely use roadside assistance. I also want to make sure that incidents like the 10th of February never happen again.
I am not tech savvy AT ALL. I need cash to be able to pay for my purchases and to budget my money. Cards & eftpos attract sneaky surcharges, which make it more expensive for everything all round! We are experiencing hard times and we need to have access to our own cash free of charge, which does not attract a surcharge. And we need a cash mandate for all stores and all purchases NOW. how disgusting is the Commonwealth Bank charging three dollars for people to get their own money out over-the-counter🤯 that is despicable and disgustingly dishonest. They are stealing our money, this should be outlawed!!!!!
We travel Australia by road and air regularly, spending money in small regional towns along the way. Cash has been essential on many occasions as EDTPOS facilities in regional and remote areas are down with alarming regularity. Without cash both the businesses and travellers go without when EFTPOS goes down for any of a myriad of reasons. Cash is essential.
