Inspired by his own experience with bullying, my 11-year-old son has transformed his pain into purpose. Instead of remaining silent, he's bravely stepping forward with a student-led initiative to strengthen anti-bullying measures in Singapore schools. His vision is clear and powerful: to create a school environment where every student feels safe and protected. He wants to see schools implement trusted anonymous reporting systems where children can speak up without fear. He dreams of designated safe spaces where students can seek help, and proper training for school staff and students to prevent bullying before it starts. Most importantly, he envisions a school culture built on empathy and understanding, where students support each other rather than tear each other down. Every child deserves to feel safe at school. Your signature costs nothing but can help create meaningful change in our education system. Through the eyes and voice of an 11-year-old who experienced bullying firsthand, we're working to transform Singapore schools into environments where bullying has no place and every student feels valued. This isn't just about my son's story - it's about ensuring that no other child has to suffer in silence. Please sign and share this petition to support this brave young change-maker's initiative. Every signature brings us one step closer to safer schools for all our children.

I was bullied when I was in an elementary school. I thought I would like to kill myself, but I didn’t do that. Hopefully, nobody will not kill himself/herself because he/ she is bullied. Hopefully, we will not have bullying at school or anywhere.

I was severely bullied by another child at school, and remember how helpless I felt when nobody would believe me. Teachers please note - reports of bullying should ALWAYS be investigated - by an outside party if necessary!
Linda supported: Implement stricter anti-bullying laws nationwide

I don't usually sign petitions but this one is something I and my family have also had direct experience of. I followed it up with written complaints at the time and had no satisfactory response, resolution, or support. My sons were repeatedly singled out by Mrs Johnson-Walker during Covid smd, most recently, a place for my youngest (who applied whilst considering coming back into school after time homeschooling) was refused a place deapite his two brothers already attending Winston Churchill. I do not believe publicly singling people out but this petition is so eloquent and well written, I feel it's appropriate to stand alongside and offed my support. Thank you to the Mum who started it and I wish her the best of luck in a positive and constructive outcome for the greater good of all.

No human, let alone a child, deserves to be maltreated or treated like subhuman. Football is a game of unity and bringer of joy. That boy deserves to be given a fair chance as well as given the ambience to experience true joy and happiness in the space he’s chosen to thrive in— footballing.

My daughter was a student in the school. I am deeply concerned about the safeguarding issue around children with autism and additional needs. The lack understand and empathy and care required from the teaching staff is putting children in danger. My daughter was bullied in school because teachers failed to attend her emotional need. Pupils and staff are in difficulties because they lack the support needed to flourish. Children with additional needs must have managers that support the teachers. Schools also need to employ staff who are caring and understand autism spectrum. Parents worries are not being listened to. I have witnessed children hitting an other child in the playground. This is a primary school out of control. More authority and protection outside of ark academy is required, If not children's lives are at danger. My daughter is a 9 year old who was experiencing bullying and bad teaching caused her mental and emotional anxiety. She is at home recovering. Teachers find it difficult to teach additional needs children because they lack the ability to understand therfore children suffer silently. Teacher did not attend parent meetings, the lack of care and support for the child is shameful. Disorganised management because the school is not paying attention to the details, concerns, and worries parents sharing. School is playing games with our children's life by hiding information. School is not communicating well with parents. At a parent meeting with headteacher I felt very concerned the way the headteacher behaved, he was more concerned about " what will he say to the board staff". Then try to understand the problem we were facing. This was the first time I met the headteacher Mr William. My daughter had left the school. But I am very upset as I am concerned about the children attending this. Intervention from the educational authority is necessary to protect all children specifically children with additional needs as they are more vulnerable.

I'm genuinely so shocked a teacher said this and hope they are held accountable for their words. Teachers are seen DAILY and to me are almost one of the nurturers in the 'village' we raise our kids, so their words have sucha huge impact and can stay with us so its quite disgusting to hear an adult being so unboundaried to a child!
Adaeze supported: Demand Changes in Teacher Conduct Policies at Harris Academy Federation
We need to stand up for the kids. This is not the first time I'm hearing about similar situations. I understand some teachers get stressed but you are supposed to be educating are young minds not putting them down. Harris please review how you deal with situations and I understand your a business but the priority should be the children.
