We, the undersigned members of the community, respectfully call on the relevant authorities to take immediate action regarding Reedwan Ali, who is currently out on bail while facing serious charges of murder, allegedly relating to the death of Asheek Singh.
It has come to the community’s attention that Reedwan Ali is allegedly in violation of his bail conditions. Specifically, he is believed to be staying at an unauthorised address — South Fork Flats, Unit 14 — which is not permitted under the terms of his bail.
Furthermore, a video that has been widely circulated has raised serious concerns about his behaviour while on bail, including alleged threats of violence made during a confrontation with a family member. These actions, if verified, show a clear disregard for the conditions of bail and the authority of the court, causing fear and distress within the community.
Bail is a privilege granted under strict conditions. Any violation—especially in a case of this severity—undermines public confidence in the justice system and places the community at risk.
With a court hearing scheduled for 6 February, we urgently call on the authorities to:
Immediately investigate these alleged bail violations
Revoke Reedwan Ali’s bail
Take him back into custody pending trial, in the interest of public safety and justice
