Rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles is such a powerfully good show with great representation of adhd and autism without that being the character’s defining feature. This show get deep while staying light hearted and makes so many who struggle feel so seen. I pray that this show gets at least one more season so it has a shot at reaching more people who would benefit from this show.
Katie supported: @Nickelodeon MAKE A ROTTMNT SEASON 3Nickelodeon, you gave us such an incredible iteration of the turtles that was both hilariously funny and touchingly heartfelt. Each turtle was riddled with strengths and flaws like every great character should be and it made so many people fall in love with them. We loved the art style, the fluid animation, the casting of the turtle’s voices and the new twist on our favorite brother quartet. Especially after the movie you have opened up such tremendous potential for a stellar season three, and the opportunity to explore such topics as overcoming trauma, brotherly bonding, and what it truly means to be a hero. Not to mention that there are such wonderful dynamics that could be walked through and which have the potential to help many people, such as Raph giving up the leader position to Leo who has always felt like the inadequate Face Man, Mikey desiring independence but Raph struggling to give it, Mikey wishing to follow Leo to the point they both almost sacrificed themselves for those they love, Donnie and Mikey’s B Team vulnerabilities, Leo and Donnie’s twin-like dynamic of being able to be free around each other, and Donnie and Raph’s contradiction of being the brains and the brawn. Especially if you incorporate some headcanons like the Disaster Twins, Tio Hueso and Leo being in the Prison Dimension longer than they thought I’m positive fans would be even more passionate about this show than they already are. It's silly yet serious, with its moments of suspense and its moments of comedy. ROTTMNT is a work of art. A season 3 is a must. The ROTTMNT team has put so much effort and love into this branch of the franchise, and it shows. Nickelodeon, trust us on this when we say that we NEED season 3. This show is anything but a lost cause. All we need is confirmation that there will be one, and we'll wait as long as necessary. Still had so much story to tell with beloved characters. So sad to see the lost potential of this series. Season one was flawless. Such a fantastic show so sad it’s over :( I know so many who agree
