I adopted two young men of color, we moved to South Carolina recently, I simply must say it is the good old boy system here. I have never seen so much racism in my entire life! It is 2025 people! Wake up! I just can’t believe this!
Yes it's failed minorities, it failed my son who was gun downed,10 shots at point blank range. His murderer who invited him over for a family function, is walking free from SCs self defense law. My baby boy, @ 15 went to commit and armed robbery with 2 adults was sentenced to 10 years in prison. I personally don't know Kyrie but I know his mother real well and I know her pain all too well. I wish justice for this kid in memory of my boys. Let freedom ring, not for mine, but for Kyrie and all others incarcerated unfairly bc of their color! In Jesus name, Amen.
As a classmate of Kyrei, I can confirm that he has done more good for his community than what the legal system is painting him to be. Kyrei has not only been a voice for the youth, but also a voice for those who have struggled in such a rural area like Mullins, SC. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect but ripping his innocence from him because of biases and personal vendetta is not only wrong but dehumanizing! We loss more innocent people while Kyrei and a few others are incarcerated and they are also suffering from grief due to those innocent people being family or best friends to those incarcerated. It’s time to release Kyrei to his family to not only properly grieve but to be surrounded by genuine love and support that will help him navigate the best path for him as possible.
