Countless mothers by now shared horror stories of Mecklenburg County Family Court- children handed to abusers custody; corrupt judges not following due process nor law; judges in court room demeaning mothers and blaming mothers for not appeasing their abusers. If you go to a lawyer and sho that father is drug addict, beating abuser- first thing you learn that it’s 50/50 best case, and that judges will just believe lies without proof. First hand witnessed lawyers yell, lie. Its not family court, its kangaroo court. Mecklenburg county family court is a lawless ground. Judges “dont like” domestic violence. DA drops charges telling victims that the jury doesnt like domestic violence. Police officers and other public officials cases get sealed and they get custody no matter what- as favor and political agenda. Children are left crying, begging mothers, and put with abusive fathers. Jena Culler, Christy Mann, McCallum, Alyssa Levine- all pushing their woke agenda against mothers and rule in corrupt bias way. Children dud die under their watch. Its time to let them all ho and expose the court for its deep seeded decade long corruption scheme

Judge Karen D. McCallum had my case. I’ve since connected with over ten victims of McCallum. There was a change.org petition with over 1000 signatures to remove her. There is a video of McCallum clenching her lips and going on a power trip against a mother, and sentencing mother to two months in prison. Judicial overreach. McCallum was not only sadistic ego maniac, but she was taking money from her favorite lawyers and ruled in their favor. There are appeals in which McCallum clearly is found to violate constitutional rights. Then, when all bubbled up too much, the Judicial Standards Committee swooped it all under the rug. They had two bad judges: McCallum and Alyssa Levine. They simply scrambled them up and moved them. Shortly thereafter, Judge Davis received a misdemeanor and was moved to family court. They threat family court as the toilet, a time out place, where it doesn't matter. Judges are moved after complaints to silence us. But the core of corruption- Judge Culler and Judge Mann remain for decades. Judge Belk challenged the corruption, and he is the only judge to be removed. This is not only the family court, this is a ring of corruption at NC State Bar, Judicial Standards Committee, CMPD, DA, and all layers of Mecklenburg. Shame on Judge McCallum for ruining childrens lifes, and hurting mothers, leaving life time scars. I hope her karma comes sooner. Same is said fir the orgers

My daughter will be 18 on April 25th, 2026. That's the day I will be more vocal about the horrible experience I had with Mecklenburg family court. There is collusion between local lawyers and the judges to extend cases. No other court in all US is established for profit as this is.

From attorney I recall a story about Judge Culler that sent chills down my spine. Culler said that father was beating and kicking child, and then said its in childs “best interest” to have regular custody with father. In what world are we now sending children to their abusers? How is any judge saying its best for child to go to parent who beats him? Apparently, thats a regular occasion in that court. The stories that lawyer told…. Systematic victim blaming, ridicule and lawlessnes. Judges laughing and on power trip. This swamp needs drained

I care because this country was founded on freedom of religion. Muslims only have two holidays a year, and I would appreciate it very much if we could have those days off for religious observance. Thank you
Candi supported: HISD Removed Eid - Muslim Students Deserve Better
HISD should recognize Eid as an official school holiday, just as it does for other religious observances like Christmas and Good Friday. Islam is one of the largest religions in the world, and many students, teachers, and staff in the district celebrate Eid. By not giving a day off, HISD forces Muslim students to choose between their education and their faith, which is unfair and unequal. Recognizing Eid as a holiday promotes inclusivity and respects the diversity of the student body. Just like students of other faiths don’t have to miss school for their religious celebrations, Muslim students should have the same right. Many other school districts across the U.S., including in New York and Maryland, have already made this change, setting an example of fairness and equity. HISD prides itself on diversity, and making Eid a school holiday would reflect that commitment by ensuring all religious groups are treated equally.

I believe it’s unfair for the school to take away the celebration of Eid and not allow Muslim students to take a day off for it. This decision feels wrong and goes against the principle of the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of religion. Everyone should have the right to celebrate their beliefs, and it’s important for the school to support all students, regardless of their faith.

I am signing this petition because removing Eid from the HISD calendar is a step backward in inclusivity and respect for all students. Recognizing Eid as a holiday ensures that Muslim students and educators are treated with the same fairness as their peers who celebrate other religious holidays. No student should have to choose between their faith and their education. HISD must reinstate Eid to uphold its commitment to diversity and equality

Knowledge is the antidote to fear. Exposing our students to the Muslim perspective allows them to embrace that community, expelling that sense of "the other". A day off for a Muslim holiday is a good start.

Houston is a very diverse city with thousands of muslims. We should be able to have the day off and have HISD to recognize Eid as a holiday. Other religions get day off for their holidays, why can’t muslims?
