My husband served two tours under the Royal Australian Navy. Our servicemen and servicewomen need to be honoured and protected the same way they honoured and protected us.

The disrespect for this SAS soldier is so disturbing. This is an Australian man who was doing his duty as an Australian soldier sent by the Australian Government to another country. Having family who served in both World Wars (for England and Australia) and having spen time in the Australian Army Reserve, I fully support his actions. These are actions which required immediate response and unless a person is there, then they cannot judge. Its a war and what happens in a war should stays there, except in the minds of those individuals involved. He fully deserves a pardon and should never gave been placed in this predicament.

It&#39;s beyond disgraceful how Ben has been treated. A man (like many others - including women) who sign on the dotted line IOT protect our Country and once faced with conflict, he&#39;s hung out to dry! As a Veteran myself, I find it appalling and sadly, it&#39;s becoming more and more common.<br> I have had the privilege of meeting Ben at our Australian War Memorial in 2015. He is a very friendly, polite and down-to-earth young man. We have not been in his shoes serving in an area surrounded by snipers and live fire, so how can anyone (especially the hierarchy) question his actions.
