I am a war widow who lost her husband through PTSD, This country does not care for veterans and military personnel, but they are all over them when they want someone to fight for them.
As a veteran myself ( Women’s Royal Navy). I totally support this cause.. we have far too many veterans being kicked to the curb, due to mental health, lack of housing support and many many more issues that are over looked . It’s should be a case of we served the country .. now the country should serve the veterans ( with bare minimum services would be a start!) sx
Couldn't agree more vetrans get a bad enough deal and in general we don't wine moan or complain,Just crack on iam proud of my service sadly not my country anymore,I suffer from complex PTSD and the country doesn't do enough for myself and the thousands like me 🫡
When are we going to realise Veterans need support. They see things and deal with tragic events that thankfully we will never witness to protect us and help others. It happened in both World War 1 and 2 and still we are not doing enough. Shame on us.
Right now the government are running Adverts for keeping this country safe. To justify the spending and taxation it will cost everyone. But they don't want to spend the money on the veterans that have already served the uk to keep it safe, until now! Its an insult and a discrace!
Why would anyone sign up, only to be discarded and treated this way.
I come From a military family. I Believe that Veterans stood Up for us in times of need & for our Country. Its only Right that now they are home & in need we Help & Stand up for them.
What could be a compelling reason that is preventing the Government, Cabinet Members & Ministry of Defense to offer free Public Transport for Veterans of UK Armed Forces?
I hope it is not because of mending the £20 Billion black-hole!!!
When someone has risked life and limb for their country and come back with scars mental or physical they should be recognised for their service and sacrifice. Free travel is one way to do this. The first step on a road to giving veterans the respect they deserve.
