We love Wilkerson Farm with our family and my little grandkids had such a blast this last year! Please preserve the land so we can continue to enjoy it!

Our Summer Camp and Afterschool program visit every year, and the kids absolutely love it. It’s a place that brings joy, learning, and connection to nature. I hate to admit it, but I had never even heard of this place until recently when this all became an issue. If I had known about this place I definitely would have gone. And now it may be to late to ever get to experience it. It is sad. I wonder how many other residents are out there that don’t know about this place. I feel if this place was more advertised and promoted (maybe with the help of the city) then it could be more profitable and make it easier for it to stay.

And their fall carnival is a family favorite. We live in a shared area in Orem where we don't have the ability to grow a large garden. The orchards and farms here in town is a major way I make sure we have healthy food. More houses are nice but green spaces are important too. What will we do if another pandemic happens and we don't have access to healthy produce. These farms were how our town started. They are part of our heritage. We lose so much as a community when we don't save them. I am so grateful that we made Crandall's a designated green space and I hope we can do the same here.

It’s our tradition, every time we drive by my kids are begging to go. We have to remind them that it only open in the fall. We live down the street from Wilkerson farm and tbh we don’t need any more new home or apartments in the area there are plenty. A place like Wilkerson farm is unique and heart warming I say let’s preserve this amazing place.

It provides our children with an opportunity to understand where their food comes fun while having fun. To often people just think food just shows up in grocery stores not realizing all the hard work it takes to grow and harvest. Lets not let this local site for education and fun go away.
Curtis apoiou: Persuade Orem City Council to Protect Open Space from RezoningWe moved to Utah Valley 10 years ago and have been shocked at how quickly the lovely frequency of orchards and small farms has been obliterated. PLEASE do not have that happen at Wilkerson Farm - it is a moment of peace in this valley as well as a business that builds memories by each generation for each following generation. Please leave a local space for our young ones to escape electronics and build their memories.

The roads that connect to that area are already so busy and do not need more high density housing around it.
