I lost several chicks that were shipped to a customer because of negligence by the post office. The chicks were 2 days late getting to the customer and it caused them to perish. The post office allowed them to sit in their warehouse or truck for days. This was devastating.

One day old chicks should be with their mothers, not in containers being shipped like cargo.

He makes all students feel welcome and has taught me so much about biology. It is clear that he puts an incredible amount of effort into not only teaching, but connecting with others. I, as well as many other students, spend every day before first period hanging out in his classroom. It makes me sad to know that he isn’t as appreciated elsewhere as he is here, and I hope that a solution is found to this situation. Just know that we got you, DeBacco! You’re not going anywhere if we have anything to say about it :)

I'm in my 40's, and they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, I'd gladly point them to Prof DeBacco and share all the knowledge I can possibly tap into with his online presentations and his willingness to help EVERYONE he comes across. If UConn takes his job, UConn is shooting itself in the foot because Professor DeBacco is one of a few singular reasons why that school makes sense. He's not an aged personality either. He will bend over backwards for his students in a way that isn't SEEN or DONE by his colleagues. His online presence is great, but his in person classes are phenomenal. This is a stupid move on the school's part, and shows their lack of understanding of real education quite frankly. The benefits to Professor's knowledge reaching the world is all the help it can accomplish!

There plenty of less rural areas that can be developed where that kind of growth belongs. This state is over crowed as it is and Brooksville does not need to become part of The Villages. We the tax payers moved here for the serenity and we the people are in charge. The elected officials work for us and need work for our concerns. Put this to a public vote and not a decision of elected people.
