This is not just. I honor my autonomy each day working as a birth doula. My biggest passion in life, besides the number one which is being a mother myself, is tending to childbirth. A beautiful woman becoming a mother and a precious child taking their first breath. Although, that does not mean that welcoming a child into the world is always the best decision. That does not mean that every pregnancy is healthy. It means that I, as a woman, who has walked the path of pregnancy, pregnancy loss, infertility etc. many times that I am educated enough to understand the science.
Guess what!!! I actually would not get an abortion. I understand that we don’t always have control of our own thoughts and opinions on reproductive rights. It’s a very important part of life we’re talking about. We need wombs for our species to survive. The government is now controlling these wombs, inside of our own body? That’s pretty concerning to me. Please reconsider what this truly means for our future.

I want to have children but as a high risk I wouldn’t dare try now. If you remove our access to care for when pregnancy is not viable or is forced upon us, we will have no safe options. If you were actually pro-life, you would understand that women deserve to live too and you wouldn’t support taking away food, shelter and healthcare from children like Trump has done with this federal freeze.
